2003 Corolla Wire Location Questions

Hello,
I have a 2003 Corolla and I am considering installed a in dash navigation unit. The installation instructions call for attaching a couple of wires coming out of the navigation units wiring harness to the following 2 connections on the 2003 Corolla

1) Car Speed Signal Input which is suppose to be part of the speed detection circuit. The in dash gps unit would use this if it lost signal from the satellite

2) The positive side of the parking brake switch

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
