Default Caliper pins

Just put new brakes and rotors on 2001 Corolla and wasn't paying much attention to the difference in the sliding pins. Didn't know there was such a thing as trailing pin and leading pin, until I did some research on the internet. If these pin accidently got reversed, will it cause any harm?
