Are you talking about the air box or manifold? The intake manifold is the same because it does not matter what car the engine goes into. Tranny is different shape I know that much. I build them so I am not trying to BS you. I work on suspension though so I cant tell you if the air box is the same or not. I do know the front end is slightly different, like headlights and rad support and a few other items in that area so maybe there is more room under the hood of the matrix but not sure.

I want to buy a K&N intake for the car but there isn't one available for the corolla!! They do have one for the matrix though, so I was hoping that it would work! I heard that the mass air meter is not bolted on the same or something like that.

I can check at work if I have the brains enough to remember to actually do it. I would be surprised if they are any different under the hood beside a few parts for cosmetics but again, I cant say for sure.

OK, if you have a 2.4L engine, known as the 2AZ it is the same in either car. The only difference should be if you were trying to compare that engine to the smaller standard engine that is a 1.8L known as the 2ZR. Otherwise, it should not matter what car you put the K&N on so not sure why they are telling you it only works on the matrix. You could just e mail K&N and ask them why they posted that. That would probably be the best thing to do before buying it.
