Door hinge

I have 2001 Corolla and the drivers side door squeaks like crazy when opened. I have tried WD40, silicone spray, and white lithium grease and nothing seems to help. Could it be the door check that stop the door from opening too far? It actually sounds like the noise is coming from the top door hinge. Any advice would be appreciated.
