My daughter has a 2005 Corolla that just hit the 5k mark and this light went on. I plan to do the routine oil changes and tune ups but how do I reset this light?
Thanks,
Fred.

Turn the ignition off; press the odometer reset button down and hold; turn the key on but don't start; watch the odo for a set of dashed lines all the way across; wait a couple of seconds; release the button and the light should go out...took me a few times to get the hang of it...

From Section 1-6, page 114 of he Owner's Manual
1. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position with the odometer reading shown. (For details, see “Odometer and two trip meters” on page 104 in this Section.)
2. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position while holding down the trip meter reset knob. Hold down the button for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates “000000” and the light goes off.
If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.
It's in the manual? Like a 24 yr old woman is going to read it. I'm sure it was removed to make room for CD's, cell charger, make up and other chick stuff the second day she had the car. I wonder how many people actually do read the manual, both male and female, 5%?
Happy Holidays,
Fred.

That's the first thing I read for vehicles, appliances, electronics etc. I gave up reading cereal boxes though.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!
