Corolla air conditioner

Our air conditioner only works when it's cool outside! Does anyone else have this problem or know what I am talking about? The air works, but not in this hot Texas weather. It's frustrating and no one seems to know what's wrong and we don't know where to take it or how much it might be for someone to find out.

This won't be any comfort, but I have always thought in my Toyota's, anything above 75 degrees outside requires the air conditioner. Simply turning the dial to cold doesn't do anything like other cars I have driven in.

Then on the hot days between 85 & 95 Toyota's A/C doesn't cool very quick, but letting it run during a trip or something allows it to keep up.

I think it is the nature of the beast, beast = all Toyota's.
