The windshield washer does not work any longer on my '05 Matrix. The rear window washer does however. I checked the manual and it seems that there is only one 15A fuse that is used for both the windshield and rear window washer which is ok. Does the washer resevoir have two pumps, one for each glass? Not sure where to look for the problem.

Yes each one has its own pump motor (front and rear motors).
If the fuse is good make sure you have 12v at the pumps (LIGHT BLUE WIRE)
Then have somone activate the pump with the switch and check for GROUND at the other wire(BLUE w/YELLOW STRIPE)front motor only.
If you have 12v and a ground signal from the switch, the pump is bad or maybe the squirtes are plugged with wax or debris. If you have no 12v then there is an open circuit you must trace down.
If there is no ground you have a open circuit in the wiring from the switch or a bad switch.

BTW: Where is the motor for the windshield pump.
Is it under the washer resevoir? I have no squirts front or back?
But it has been cold the last few days.

Yes each one has its own pump motor (front and rear motors).

Yes, it is in the washer resovoir.

I don't a matrix but make sure your washer tank have plenty of fluid in there front and rear. I have seen some model car have front tank for windshield and rear tank for rear window. If your pump are working ok it be the washer tube clogged somewhere. Good luck

4-5 PSI of compressed air (no more!)to clear the rear lines and the rear window jets would be another way of checking for a clog or jamb in the line motor or jets.

Rear washer pumps rarely burn out. could be the switch or +12v side

Jets do clog, and see if yu can hear the pump working. This is very easy thing to do first.
Hose lines do come apart especially if the fluid froze up in the lines using weak/poor washer antifreeze. This has happened to me.
