just bought a new 06 corolla s for the wife. i wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion for an inexpensive hop-up? my friend has an 04 Sentra thats pushing 220 hp. didn't want to get that crazy but would like a little more pep... thanks, D
The first mods will always be basic bolt ons which are the cheapest mods (but still expensive) for example the Air Intake System, Exhaust mods. None of which will yield nearly 220 HP your friends Sentra supposedly makes. Only way to make that kind of power is to go forced induction (Turbo, Supercharger). I believe TRD made a Supercharger for the 1.8L non VVTL-i engines. But then toyota decided to drop the celica motor (VVTL-i 170HP) in the corolla XRS which should respond better to the bolt on mods than the regular VVT-i 130HP version.
