Corolla CE ,03 -Blower Noise
Hello everyone,
My search for answers of a problem with my Toyota has brought me to this form. I hope that some of you will able to help me with this issue.
I own a Toyota Corolla CE 2003 and this past week after my 35,000 miles service I could hear a fluttering noise whenever I started my cabin blower. The noise is squeaking, fluttering and at times intermittent but increases in intensity as I turn up the blower.
First , the technician at my Toyota dealer suggested that I change the cabin filter and I agreed do so ($ 51) .However the noise did not cease to exist. I took my car to this dealer again and this time another technician suggested it is something that they see all the time and he believed that it is probably a twig or leaf that is stuck in the blower motor that is making the sound.
He thought the leaf or twig will ware away with time but they could certainly clean it up for me for about another $ 100.
Questions: Is the technician’s explanation probable or is there something else that’s going on with the blower? Should I pay the $ 100 for the misdiagnosed condition in the first place?
Your advice in this regard would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you,
Yogi
