Question Have found several ways to prog. master key

I just bought a 2005 Corolla with one master and one sub. Local dealer wants $240 for 2 blanks, cutting and programming master immobilizer keys. Found blanks for $35 each online. Will have local locksmith cut them and I will attempt to program them using the procedures I have found online (ignition rotations, door open and closes...ignition "on"?? or "off"?? to program the new key). Wish me luck. Would appreciate any helpful hints to achieve success.

Good luck with the aftermarket keys. IF they work let us know what brand they are.
So far most aftermarket keys we have tried do not work.
Thanks

I've found Ace Hdwr will do it for $70. The aftermarket stock is Bianchi (?) TK40.
