Question running lights off while in park???Idling?

How do I turn off running lights on my 2006 matrix while I am idling in park??

Did you ever notice that when you start the engine with the handbrake lever engaged, DRL is OFF. As soon as you release the handbrake with the engine running, DRL turns on. This is the case with majority of models in the market. Even if you are parked, engine in idle, DRL will still be on. To deactivate DRL and keep the engine running, pull the handbrake lever, turn off the engine and re-start the engine while the handbrake is still engaged. As soon as you disengage the handbrake, DRL will turn on automatically.

put the emergecy brake on and turn off the car.
