I have a 2003 Corolla and my engine light is on.
I would like to know how can i get the problem code .

What is the procedure to get this code.
And also the chart that show the problem related to the code.

The code can be read with an OBD II scan tool

But i do not have an ODB II scan tool.
Is there an other way to get the engine light code ?

I had an old Pontiac Trans am and i had to short two pins in the connector and
the engine light starting to flash to give the code.

Is it the same with my Corolla ?

I have 2001 corolla and I had same problem. I went to Autozone and they checked it out and gave me print reciept of codes for FREE. Find out near by Autozone store and ask to free check up. I have P0446 malfunction code for emission. I have to figure it out.
