This is a discussion thread titled "Turtle wax ICE vs other waxes for my Tundra ?", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I used Turtlewax Ice on my Tacoma a week ago and it looks ok and was easy to use(liquid). So today after I washed the wifes 94 Camry (dark green) I noticed quite a few scratches and tree sap /bird crap spots so I figured it's time for some TLC.
I gave it a good towel dry so I could spot all the crud, then I went at it with Meguires "scratch X." It worked pretty good but I didn't have time to do every little scratch. I then used the Ice on the Camry. Wow! The Ice did a great job on that 14 year old paint! The small scratches and swirl marks were gone and I got 2 thumbs up from the wife! The fact that you don't have to worry about the black plastic trim is a big bonus too...
ICE liquid is the absolute best product I have used to polish a vehicle. I had a 2007 Tucson that I used nothing but ICE on and dirt just rolled right off with a simple stream of water.
The best thing about ICE is that it leaves no annoying dust. It can also be applied to trim without worry of having white stain marks left behind. What's also nice about it is the more coats you put on, the shinier things get!
If you want a full bottle of ICE I will see if I can find mine---I tried it on my daughters 08Yarus and it was impossable to rub out---We had to use a very light cleaner to get it off Then I put on the wax I have used for 55 years the name being LIQUID GLASS---It is hard to find but look it up on google and see what you think---E mail me if you want the ICE ?
