This is a discussion thread titled "scuff marks on inside door panel", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I have had my 07 Tundra for about a month now and I have some scuff marks on the inside door panels where my shoes have rubbed on the dark plastic. I have tried just wiping with a damp rag but that doesn't seem to get rid of them. I doesn't appear to be scratched it just looks like dirt from my shoe. Does anyone else have this issue and how do you get rid of them.
got scuff marks in mine, and it doesnt wash off, not sure yet what to do about it! My wife put her feet on the dash when we went on a trip, so now I have scuffs there too, and they do not come off! Put armour all on them you dont notice as much for a little while.
The answer to your problem is simple green cleaning solutions.
Yeah I had the same problem. diluted Simple green 5:1 and they came right off. I treated all of the plastics with 303 Aerospace protectant and no longer have that problem.
Tuff Stuff works pretty good. It will clean almost anything.
It gets my boot marks off the kick plates with ease.
If Tuff Stuff doesnt get it off, then bug and tar remover of your choice will.
Then follow up with a cleaning to remove the bug and tar rem smell.

Yeah, putting a protectant on the interior helps marks and scuffs clean up easier. It's a trick I use on customers cars, even if they dont ask for protectant, and I know I will do their car again, I will do it anyway, it saves me a ton of time.
