    Default cleaning rims?

I've got a 2001 tundra with what I believe are the original aluminum rims. The front rims are pretty worn from brake dust over the years. I've tried cleaners but they don't work. The rims have "pitting". Is there a way to sand, buff, or get the rim looking new again?? Or has time done its deed?

There are places that refinish wheels. I would just use that as an excuse to get new ones though lol.....

Those factory rims (what I call the "pinwheel" rims) are butt-ugly. I got new wheels and tires, and relegated my old ones to "winter duty".

You might want to do the same.
