Re: how to get rid of tiny scratches and spiderwebbing
It is not bad at all. I guess I get them from tiny pieces of dirt when I wash my truck. When I polish it with a buffer it will not leave swirl marks? What is the best way to wash truck without getting these scratches?
Re: how to get rid of tiny scratches and spiderwebbing
No, a random orbital polisher such as the Porter Cable 7336 will not leave swirl marks, it removes them........ with the correct polish of course.
Black is a tough color to keep swirl free. You really have to change your habits. Invest in some quality microfiber towels and microfiber wash mitts. Change your wash routine to a 2 bucket method. One for shampoo and one for rinsing the wash mitt. Wipe the mitt in the direction that the wind would flow over that panel if the car were moving. Avoid circular patterns.
Black is not an easy color to maintain, but when its done right it looks awesome.

Agreed. Youre gonna have Popeye arms by the time you get finished. I would just invest the money in a PC and pad bundle, especially with a black truck. You can get rolling for under $200. I buy just about all of my supplies here http://detailersparadise.com/_system...qryDefault.asp
You dont want to fill in the scratches.... you'll want to remove them. Step up to the higher end polishes and you'll have a much easier time and better experience with the PC. I'm a big Einszettes fan. They have never let me down and their products couldnt be easier to work with . Menzerna is a good polish too, Zaino swirl remover is ok, but not great. Meguires #83 is good as well as 3M SMR for dark cars. But if I had to choose only one, I'd say Einszettes Paint Polish followed by Metalic Polish. Ok, I guess thats 2.

Yes I have, and I love it. I was helping beta test the Prima line a while back and I couldnt find one product that I didnt like. I use my PC to apply it and a monster fluffy to remove it. It leaves a very nice wet look with great durability. Goes on by hand very easily too.

Hope that helps
Yeah man, helps a lot. I appreciate the input.
I think I'll add it to my ever expanding shelf of products
This experimentation is never ending, I can't control myself.
If I can just get the "Filler" (or glazes) ironed out, I'll be happy.
I'll tackle the removal of the scratches at another time.
Fill 'em for now, fix 'em later.
On a side note...So far, I think I like this Natty's Blue nuba the best out of all the last step products I have tried. At least I have that one ironed out...whew.

Re: how to get rid of tiny scratches and spiderwebbing
I know what ya mean. I have shelves full of waxes and cleaners and polishes in the garage. But no matter what, I'm always willing to try something new. Out of everything I have its only a select handful of waxes that gets used on a regular basis. I always seem to fall back on the ol faithfulls........... and Epic is one of em. Give it a shot and tell us what you think. Give Nick and Heather a call, they are great people to talk to and they really know their stuff. Best customer service I've ever come across.

You can also try 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. I've used it since I watched a paint shop in Germany finish up a re-paint job on my old dark blue Volvo. I've used it many times since to renew paint jobs and remove light scratches.
