Cool Toyo Guard...who new??

Yea so my buddy who has a pretty pimped out new Tacoma was helping me with the black headlight mod last night and he mentioned Toyo Guard...I was like yea I had it in my 99 Avalon and I see I have it in my Tundra but I never really looked at it or new what it was...Well he was telling me how good it is at getting imperfections and grime and crap off the paint and making it really shine...So tonight I applied it to the whole truck and buffed it out and man it really works! I am really impressed at how it took out minor scratches and scuffs that I thought were permanent! Probably would've helped my resale a little on the 99 Avalon lol...oh well. But yea it recommends applying it to the entire car every 3 months or so and I think I will start to use it. Really brings out the factory shine and looks great! You guys know about this stuff lol?? I never knew until last night.

Toyoguard, ehh. If it works for you, thats great, it was free with the truck. But to me, there are much much much better products out there that can give much better results.

One of my favorite combos is Duragloss #101 and #105. The #101 cleans the paint (wont remove swirls, need a swirl remover for that) and the #105 makes the paint look killer and protects for 3-4months.

You mean the bottle of stuff they give with the truck? If so, my friend used this on his black FJ and the results were ho-hum IMO. He was pleased but it didn't do it justice.

If you apply it liberally and buff it out it works pretty well. The instructions on the bottle say to use it sparingly and if you do that it doesn't work that well. I don't think it gives as good of a wet shine as some waxes do but it gets rid of imperfections and minor scratches/scuffs in the paint better than waxes do. Its a nice little bonus in the truck when I never even knew about it.
