This is a discussion thread titled "Paint Chiping on Front bumper..", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I am getting some paint chipping on my front bumper. I bought the truck used awhile back, so I am guessing they did not keep up appearances with it. Is there anything that I can do to fix this or am I just SOL and have to get a new paint job on my bumper?
If you get the front bumper repainted, you should get a clear bra afterwards. I have a 3M clear bra (it was installed the same day I took delivery), and no rock chips whatsoever in 16 months on the road.
Yeah, I don't believe it is something that I can cover up, will prob have to get it repainted. After further inspecting, it seems like someone bumped into something. It is in the dead center of the front bumper. I wonder if i can just get a license plate holder to cover it up, instead of going though the hassle of a repaint. Not the best way, but prob the cheapest, it is an 04.
I will try and snap a shot on my camera phone, since I am at work.
