Default Do you have a preferred type of Duster?

I’ve seen the Concours Duster which is made from wool and also one that was made from Microfiber. With black paint it seems like there is a layer of dust the accumulates overnight, and that is in my garage

I’m hoping that one of these dusters will fit the bill but don’t want to use them if the scratch it at all. Of course both duster claim they don’t scratch.

Any thoughts?

Do people not use dusters on their trucks? I'm talking very light dust from overnight not some caked on stuff.

I use a California Duster strictly for de-dusting before I QD every day. It just removes big contaminates instead of letting the microfiber trap them.

I have a love hate relationship with the California duster. I requires regular washing to remove the oil it picks up from the dust but it's still useful. It takes me a few minutes every morning to dust off the truck before I leave for work but I don't mind it.

I have been using an "original" California duster for years. It takes off the pollen and is simple to clean. Just be sure you are not swiping it over contaminants "bird dropping" etc that might possibly scratch something. With the amount of trees and bushes on my property I have to have one.

Not sure about the "off brand" versions from Walmart, etc.

It says that it is for forks, such as rims, and that sort of thing... Doesn't seem like the material would be too different. I may pick it up, the other california duster is like $10.0
