Default Paint Thinner, Laquer Remover

Can anyone tell me if these materials are safe to use for removing overspray? I have clayed the truck but there is still a lot on the car that won't come off.

Thanks

I'd honestly try something else before I used those. I have had great success with (belive it or not) kerosene. Do it in the shade and keep it of anything plastic and wash with degreaser. Then re-clay.

I would think kerosene would be much stronger than thinner or laquer remover. I read people use WD40 as well. Which is the least harsh chemical?

Actually, I like kerosene b/c it has oils in it that make it not so harsh. Prep-Sol, 3M Adhesive Remover or WD40 will work as well, but not as fast.

Interesting...i would think Kerosene would be really strong. get the oil part though.

i have heard about WD40 but find it hard to believe this would be good for the paint.

Do not use lacquer thinner unless you know someone that can repaint your truck. Vehicles made in the USA use a water based paint system to meet EPA air pollution rules and lacquer thinner will be deadly.
