DetailingGeneral discussion forum for detailing your vehicle.
This is a discussion thread titled "Best wax??", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I'm a real big fan of the ZAINO system. No store bought product has ever lasted so long (making water bead), or given as good of a shine. Once or twice a year is all you need, with the occasional application of Z-6.
I have been using Pinnacle products (incl Pinnacle Souveran wax) on my truck and it looks great on the black sand pearl paint. I believe on autogeek.net they advise you to use a different wax depending on the type of paint thats on your car/truck so you might want to check that out and also ask for the details of the paint on your truck at toyota/dealer.
Depends on your color. For lighter colors I like Zaino Z-2, FK1 1000p, Klasse Twins(topped with PUPP). Darker colors I like Zaino Z-5, FK1 1000P, FK1 Pink Wax, Colonites 845 Insulator Wax.
For me, alot of it depends on prep work. If your prep work is good almost anything will look nice on it.
Another vote here for Zaino, but before you wax it clay bar. You will be waxing over crap and not your paint if you do not clay it. Like Brandon1 said, "No prep no pride."

I've had the best luck with Griot's products. By far the easiest to apply and remove. I wax my truck 2-3 times a year is all. Living the Pacific N.W. we get a little rain here.
