This is a discussion thread titled "How to get scratches out of dash/door trim", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Rub chapstick on the scratch then take a "magic stick" and rub in circles on it till it comes out. They do this professionally - it works. Didn't recall this ever being posted, but if it has, forgive my error .

I don't see how this combo is going to remove a scratch Possibly a scuff mark maybe.

It works trust me. The magic stick is a piece of plastic - sorta soft plastic...not sure where you can find one. That is what husband believes the name is...it is what they call it anyhow. He'll ask around and find out what actual name is. But it's just this stick looking thing made of plastic and one end is gradually flatter than the rest of the stick. Of course it wouldn't get out deep deep scratches but it would get out a scratch (more than a scuff). Like a key scratch or dragging something along door (for me - kids' backpacks lol)
