PC will NOT burn paint, period. Unless it catches on fire and you let it sit on your hood.

It can rub off paint that is applied to the plastic bumpers - I know because I've done it before. One has to be very careful of the edges on plastic bumpers where a buffing pad can rub the paint right off.

ABS Plastic bumpers are painted using a Flex additive mixed into both the Base and Clear coats. (Sometimes it will affect the color match when compared to the metal panels.)

>>But, as a result, the Flex additive leaves a softer flexible paint finish for durability reasons in key impact areas (bumpers). These finishes will tend to cut or burn more readily when using any orbital or non-orbital "wheel".
