Default Need to clay a lot

I wash my Tundra about every 1-2 weeks. Lets say that I clay and wax 1 week and then the next week when i wash and just put another coat of wax the truck dosen't feel as slick anymore so I always end up claying it everytime. Is that the same with you guys too? I'm talking about it dosen't have the super slick glass feel anymore. I can feel some little contaminates in the paint. I don't drive to much, but I do park my truck outside in the driveway.

You can clay as often as you feel necessary, but about every 4-6 months is average. It all depends on your driving conditions and where your truck is parked during the days/nights. Theres no harm it doing it more often.

Claying every other week is a bit excessive, but keep in mind that every time you clay youre removing the wax/sealant you applied the week before. You sort of end up in a redundant circle. If youre using a synthetic sealant, try layering it every other week instead of claying. Or to maintain the slickness you can use some QD after washing.

Wash the truck, then with the paint still wet, put a small sandwich baggie over your hand and lightly rub it across the paint. If your paint feels like fine grit sandpaper then its time to clay. I clay our own cars about every 4 months, the wifes stays in the garage and mine lives outside.
