Default Paintless Dent Repair?

Hi, I have a few dents on my Tacoma that I would like to repair, but still I've checked with local body shops and they charge +-$400 for all my dents. Anyways, I was trying to get someone, maybe a Paintless Dent Repair technitian or student who could do the job for a lot less + practice... I live in the San Diego, CA area..

Franchise's like "Dent Doctor" and the like will not guarantee perfect results.
And interior panels must be removed completely for access behind certain dents.

Most dents will become little noticed to the casual eye.

They cannot fix just any kind of dent. They will tell yu what can and cannot be fixed. They examine before starting the procedure and will usually not attempt or work on an area that they deem is not repairable.
Even if I considered using this method of repair... I would only want someone who has alot of experience doing this kind of repairs.

My friend owns a PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) shop in Canada called the Dent Clinic. I just got a new Tundra which has no dents but my brothers new Tacoma got hit with a big rock that bounced of a dump truck and hit his “hood scope”. PDR worked so well you cant tell where the dent was (the scratches it left still need to be buffed out).

Further, I have seen them do hail damaged cars for customers, dealerships and insurance companies with awesome results. You would never know the vehicle had been in a hail storm.

I am not saying that PDR is the be all and end all, but don’t dismiss it before you have researched it fully. It is relatively cheap, quick and the results that I have seen have been great.

Same here,it basically depends on how skilled/experienced the PDR person is. My PDR guy at work has one some dent removals that I thought would've required a visit at a bodyshop. He's able to access most dents without interior panel removal.

PDR by a skilled tech is the way to go. It's been around for at least 20 years. Some dents they can't fix, but a good tech will tell you which ones can be done and which can't. Just received my renewal notice from State Farm the other day. They had a list of changes to my policy. One of them was that PDR will be offered as a repair technique where applicable on claimed losses.
