This is a discussion thread titled "what are you using to clean the dash?", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
one thing that kind of pisses me off about my new tundra is the material the dash is made out of. i have the black interior, so the dash is black. if you touch it, you see where you touched. i dont have any scratches yet, but id imagine its only a matter of time. so ya, im really not a fan of it lol. annnnnyways. i was wondering what you guys are using to clean it with? same stuff used to clean any other dash?

I tried that Turtle Wax ICE stuff for the interior. Kind of a thick liquid, apply, buff off. It's not shiny, doesn't appear to leave any kind of residue, has a pleasant smell, and it keeps dust off better than before (Armor All applied and wiped down).
I use Megs Quick Interior Detailer as a cleaner, then top it with a light coat of 303.

Nothing but Einszettes Cockpit Premium for me. Smells like a million bucks, provides UV protection and leaves a nice matte finish.
I just received my first bottle from autogeek on friday and finally got to try some today on the wifes Touareg. This stuff is awesome I really like the finish and it definitely has a unique smell too it. It has earned a place in my growing arsenal of products. I like it better than the 303.

Use some soap water, and a sponge to clean the dash. Next apply a waterbased interior dressing (any brand will do) sprayed lightly on the dash. Take some paper towel and rub it in. Note: try not to get the windshield greasy from the interior dressing.

I'm glad you like it, its a great interior cleaner. Its funny, I've been mentioning the Einszettes line up here for a while, and I'm really glad its finally catching on and turning over some new leafs with people. Everything they make is amazing. Try the Schlibenklar (Windscreen Clear) , it goes great with the Cockpit Premium when the two smells are combined. It'll make you wanna sit in your truck all day
