This is a discussion thread titled "Quick Sunday detail PICS.", within the Detailing forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I've seen a bunch of people posting detailing pics lately so I thought I'd jump in and put up some of mine from Sunday morning.
Saturday evening I did the wheels and tires and engine bay. For the wheels and tires I use Eagle One A2Z, for the wheel wells/engine bay I use P21S/S100 Total Auto Wash diluted 5:1.
Got up early Sunday morning and did a quick wash and clay. After a fast blow dry it was into the garage for the fun stuff.
A basic break down of my process and materials.
1) Einszettes MP (red can) with an orange pad , PC on 5 (truck doesnt have any swirls so this is just for added depth)
2) FK1 AIO #215 with a white pad , PC on 4 (to remove the carnubas from the MP and give the sealant a solid bond)
3) FK1 1000p synthetic applied by hand (its a paste sealant but super easy to apply and remove)
4) FK1 #425 detail spray wipedown
5) second layer of FK1 1000p cause it was still early.
6) 303 Aerospace on tires
7) Stoners Trim Shine in the wells.
I do this about every 4 months and then just touch up with 1000p or Z-2 in between. I'm really liking the depth from the 1000p and the durability is right up there with the Z-2. It really makes the silver come to life.
yeah you're the other guy that made my spend 300 on cleaning equipment... lol... im hoping to get my silver truck like that... did you have your bumper painted or did you get it like that???
Nice looking truck. Looks like it just rolled out of the showroom floor for delivery!
Your right also Porshe, Jumbo and Brandon made quite an influence on the detailing package and products I purchased to start out with also. But, believe it was worth it after the finished product was revealed! You will not be disappointed.

haha, always glad to spend other peoples money. $300 is just scratching the surface, we've just opened up the door to a very addicting hobby for you. You'll be cursing us out for years to come
Now thats the way silver should look. Simply awesome. Nice work.
