Default machinery--only option?

well, i kept them away for almost two years, but i now have some swirls showing up in my paint. is there a way to deal with them w/o using a buffer? i don't mind using lots of elbow grease. any hand applied products that will suffice? Meg. scratch x, Meg. paint cleaner? i don't trust anyone (including a buddy of mine who's a detailer or myself) to use machinery. i understand this might be my only fix, but am trying to explore all options. the finish is speedway blue and i try to use quality products on it (Gold class soap, Nxt tech wax, meg. or mothers clay, microfiber sponge, absorber chasmois etc.)

lemmie hear what you got to say...

Swirls really need a machine (such as the porter cable or UDM) and a good polish/compound to remove them. You can hide them with a "glaze" but they will come back as soon as the next wash is done....

Brandon is it true that if a dummy (or newbi) is using a buffer can burn the clear or do some bad like that.???

About the only way to damage the paint with a ROB is if you drop it on the hood. A good quality ROB is nearly fool proof. Use quality pads and polishes and you'll be amazed at the results.

+1 on Jumbo.

Now what you are talking bout RC is if someone uses a "rotary" that is untrained. Those machines are a little dangerous until you get the hang of using one......but a Porter Cable is an awesome machine, and with the right polishes and pads, can do what a rotary can do...

Yeah, sorry..... I should have clarified that a little better. ROB's are fool proof, rotaries require some skill and lots of practice. Learn the ROB first, then graduate to a rotary one day.
