Default Oxidized Exterior Window Rubber/Vinyl

Hey All,

I've got a 2003 HL that I bought a few months ago. We really like the car, but as with any used vehicle I've to do some pretty major rehabing to bring it to my OCD satisfaction.

Anyway, when I ran the carfax it showed it originated in Georgia and South Carolina which means it was in the hot sun, a lot. The paint is fine but the rubber around the windows has spots on it that look to be oxidation from the sun. The auto parts guy said there's nothing to fix it and that I could apply some Mothers Back to Black, which didn't do much.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good product or method for reconditioning the oxidized window trim.

Thanks

I'm not sure about the Highlander, but I had the same issue with my '01 Tundra. I got 2 new outer window seals for $70. Install took about 10 minutes, including opening the package, and a trip to the fridge for a cold one!

Give your local stealership a call. The Highlander's are most likely replaceable too.
