Default How about a cleaning question

My 06 DC Sport came used with a couple of stubborn "kid stains" on the seats. Got most of it out, but there still remains a "shadow" of the stain. Anyone know what the best solution is for this issue. Need advise. Thanks

If you havent tried it yet, try Petzyme. Get it at any pet supply store.

Follow the directions and let it dry.

If that doesn't work, follow it up with Oxyclean.

If those two don't work, you're SOL.

Good luck.

I have a portable carpet shampooer with internal heater from Sears. I would try going over the spots a couple times, then shampoo the whole seats.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will try those products. The stains aren't bad, just annoying.

I used a spray called Spot Shot on the floor and a spot on one seat. It worked great.

Maybe pull the cover off and take it somewhere?

If whatever you tried on the seat before did not set the stain, try Tuff Stuff by Simoniz. The key is to use a very wet terry towel. You need it to be wet to the point where is does not drip. Spray a good dollop of Tuff Stuff on the area, let set for a few seconds then rub with the towel. I have not come across any stain on car interior and house carpets that it will not remove. That includes stains from where pets have thrown up and it has dried in. After using cleaner, really blot out all of the excess moisture your can with paper towels to lift as must residue as possible. If you have a portable wet vac to use with Tuff Stuff the easier it will lift the stain. I have been using since the 80's and it has always worked for me. And it is a low cost product.

Tuff Stuff is really the way to go. Carpets look brand new. Thanks for the tip Pavilion. Followed your instructions to the letter.
