Default Ever tried this wax?

I tried a search, but turned up nothing.

I am no guru at car cleaning, but am in to trying different products. I saw some stuff called IBIZ car wax at the international auto show we had here in Raleigh NC. I am not into the gimmick products like "shamwow" or the "slapchop", but when I saw this stuff demonstrated, I was actually impressed.

I spent $40 on the cleaner solution, wax, car wash, leather conditioner, applicators, and instructions. Has anyone ever tried or heard of the stuff? Like I said, I am not into cheap gimmicks, but did I just piss away $40? I will definately let you guys know how it works for me when I get a chance to use it.

I personally haven't heard of it, but it seems like the snake oil car wax guys rear their ugly heads at every car show. At last years big auto show there was a guy scratching a hood, lighting it on fire and claiming it was near bullet proof with his miracle wax on it. Most of those clowns are selling liquid junk, they just play the odds knowing that 9 out of 10 people walking by have no idea that waxes don't really last for 3 years or remove deep scratches with a simple dab on a soft cloth.

You already have it, try it out... it might work out pretty well. Let us know what you find out.

Well, I waxed my entire truck at work the other with this stuff and it is about what I expected, strikingly similar to most other waxes I have used. I did notice a few things with this wax. It went on and came off very easily. It covers pretty good as well, using small amounts I was able to cover large areas. It is also not as "chalky" as other waxes I have used. Whenever I accidently smeared a little bit on the plastics, it came off easily and didnt leave any residue.

Overall, I was happy with the wax and cleaner. I will continue to use it on my tundra and other vehicles. Will I lose sleep once I am out and cant buy it in stores? probably not. For what you get compared to the cost, if you get a chance to pick some up, try it...it seems to be decent, but nothing that will revolutionize the detailing industry.

Everything you described, easy on easy off, won't stain plastics and a little going a very long way is all pretty standard stuff for todays sealants. There are so many people reverse engineering the big companies formulas that we are seeing more and more of the "car show" wax guys.

Either way I'm glad to hear you liked it, thanks for trying a new product and thanks for a full report. Write down the day you applied it and please let us know how much durability you get out of it.

Will do it. I applied it on 2/15/09...I think. I am anxious to wash it again to see how well it repels water since it usually sits in the carport when it rains. But I will keep those who care updated on how it holds up. Used it on my black motorcycle as well and the results were even a little more pleasing with the black than on the blue.
