Default RainX on lights?

I am so impressed with the rainx I just applied to my windshield I am wondering if anyone has applied it to their headlights (the plastic lenses)? The bottle says not to use on plastic. Are they just covering their a$$ or is this stuff OK to use?
I haven't encountered too much rain, infact it has gone the opposite way. I was parked outside last week at -30*C and all the frost, snow and ice were gone in one pass of the wiper!! Love this stuff!!!

I think if I could apply it to the headlights it would keep them a whole lot cleaner from all the road slop we get in the "spring" (whenever that is coming).

Ahh, I wouldnt think it would be a problem, but the Rain-X does have some alcohol in it, so it may do something funny to plastic.

I'd stick to putting some sort of car wax or spray wax on them.

Rain X is good stuff but dont get to crazy with it, apply with care...it will dry out your wipers and rubber moldings because of the alcohol conten.t

I use turtle wax liquid ice on my lights. Works almost as good. I wouldn't use rainx on plastic though. Over time it will dry out the plastic enough to crack or cause a hazing in the lens itself.

I used to use it on the headlights of my old truck and they ended up getting really brittle over time and had to replace both of them. Im not sure if the rainx is what caused it but I dont use it anymore.
