Default New car smell?

Just had some work done on my car because someone rear-ended me. But anyway when I went to pick it up they had cleaned the outside and inside and the interior had that new car smell. Was wondering is there a detailing product that produces this smell or is there just a spray? If so which is the best to use? Thanks

Default Re: New car smell?

It's actually just the fact that it has been repainted. The "new" car smell is just a combination of solvents, paints, plastics and other new materials out-gassing into the car. When your truck got painted, the same thing happened all over again.

Now, for a new "leather" smell, Gloss-It Leather Cream is just about as close to "new" car as i've gotten.
