Default Is wax needed if

Was just searching this section and reading some posts got me thinking about whether or not you even need to put a layer of wax on the car.
Alot of people including myself have been using Zaino just by itself, but there are other good ones out there that give you the depth "wet look"

My question is if these new synthetic sealant polishes due so well in protecting the paint and doing basically what in my mind thought a wax is suppose to do. Do you really need to apply wax.

In short, no.

In long, a carnauba wax is just something that is chosen for a car on a case by case basis. I sometimes top a sealant with a nuba, sometimes it's my only last step product. On boats, I use only Collinite, and thats a nuba. If you want a wetter look, then a nuba is the way to go. I also like nubas for ease of application and the pure enjoyment of rubbing the truck down with something that smells like bubble gum (Poorboys Nattys Blue).

FWIW- Nothing will bond over Zaino. If you want to layer a nuba over a sealant, choose a different sealant.

I dont recall the last time I used a Nuba. Ive been using and enjoying sealants for so long (Four Star UPP in particluar), Ive just never had a need for a Nuba. And with Summer here already, Nubas just dont hold up well in the heat.
