Default Cleaning the dash

What are people using to clean the dash in their tundras? Our 2010 has kind of a matte finish to it so I'm not thinking armorall would be best but I really don't know. I'm guessing the 07-09s have the same type of dash.

Thanks in advance for you suggestions!!

Yes, the 2007-2009 Tundras also have the same matte finish dash from the factory. Most truck dashes come this way, but believe me put some armorall or any other dash product on there ad it will get a nice glossy finish look. I have used armorall on my dash and it looks great.

Also, welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the new Tundra.

Is there a product that will clean and protect but not make it shinny?

303 aerospace gives a little shine but not too much. That is what I use and I am very happy with it.

303 is the best stuff I've found so far for the entire interior (dash, leather, all plastics).

+1 on Aerospace 303. I used it on mine yesterday just before snapping this pic so you get an idea of the finish it leaves.

And, if you're lazy and like to buy everything at Walmart.... Try the Turtle Wax Ice interior care. Leaves a great scent too. It'll take up all the scuffs in the dash and all the grease off the arm pads.

I would not use Armor All though. It can crack dashes and really is pretty harmful for them.

Just used Meguiar's "Natural Shine Protectant" on my 2010 and it looks great. It's a little more viscous than the watery type protectants (armor all) so a little goes a long way. I don't like a real shiny appearance on the dash since it can reflect off the windshield. This stuff gives the dash a clean and lustrous appearance, but not really shiny if you know what I mean. $4 at walmart

i use pledge original formula and a micro-fiber cloth ...works great and doesn't get all shiny like armor all, which IMO just creates a lot of glare

I use WD-40. Spray some on a paper towel and wipe it on. A little goes a long way. It's a little shiny at first, but after a couple days it soaks in and the sheen goes away. Does a great job conditioning dried out plastic.

WD-40 IS a water dispersant and was designed to remove water from anything it's used on. I use 303 very lightly because the dash is just painted with a thin coating of paint. You can rub it off and then you will have white spots showing through. I have a dash cover and just leave the dash alone.
