I was wondering if wheel waxes work well? The huge brakes on my wifes X3 produce a lot of brake dust on the wheels. So I cleaned up the wheels and want to apply something that will keep the brake dust and road dirt from sticking. Any suggestions?

To answer the question, yes, they do work. To give an opinion, any quality paint sealant will do the same job. Carnuba on wheels is a disaster as the nuba attracts dust. A sealant makes dust not stick so bad, and it releases it easier. So just use whatever paint sealant you have laying around.
Now for another opinion. I have tons of paint sealants, literally TONS. I did buy Poorboys Wheel Sealant the other day, and applied it to my wheels. The smell and ease of use made the use of the product almost therapeutic. I will by buying more when I run out.

Here is a product that I just heard about. I do NOT know how well it works and am not recommending it. I was just wondering if it does work as well as it claims. Anybody knows ??

I've used waxes on my wheels with no ill effects...BUT in my situation, I wash my truck weekly religiously with daily QD wipedowns so the buildup isn't too bad. I've tried SwissVax autobahn wax which is pretty solid, Migliore wheel seal is so-so with durability about two weeks tops in our warm tropical climate. I like the DG 105 treatment so far. I have also used Glare ProPolish on it which helped quite a bit, but didn't last as long on chrome as it did on my paint. My next combo i'm going to test is the DG 501/105 set on my wheels then top with the SV autobahn wheel wax to see how that comes out.

x2 on the Poorboys. I have used it for about 4 months now and live west of Seattle. I have been very happy with the results. Brake dust, water spots from all the rain, and just normal grime wash off 10x easier since I started using PB wheel wax. Others on the AG forum like the DP wheel wax as well, but I have become a loyal PB fan and plan on staying with them, plus the smell is soooo good.
