    Default Removing undercoat on wheels

    Hi Guys,

Never got around to this until now. But my dad custom ordered a 2010 F150 King Ranch with the factory 20" wheels. July 2010. The dealer undercoated the truck and got some over spray on all 4 wheels. I used simple green diluted with a bug and tar sponge and that really didn't help. Any suggestions are helpful. Not sure if a clay bar would be able to remove this. Was thinking about WD-40 or brake parts cleaner but that maybe to strong and possibly discolor the wheels. The wheels are painted aluminum wheels.

I'll have to put some pictures up here of it.

brake cleaner will take undercoating off with a bit of work. I can't say what it will do to the finish on the wheels though.
