Love Klasse. Have you tried Klasse SG on top of AIO. A nice combo as well.
Truck looks great.

I'll bet it does. It came out great. The Klasse twins are a great combo on silver and other light colors. My favorite is Klasse twins topped with Four Star PUPP. But I am really liking your combo, might have to try that next.

Is Klasse SG a synthetic sealer?
I'm looking to try a new sealer out. Just bought some Mequires M21 & Collinite 476 (been using Duragloss 105 & Collinite 845) but haven't used them yet. I haven't been wowed yet since getting away from the Zaino line as far as sealers go. Still testing though & learning . . [My vehicles are usually light colored paint].
yes, SG is a synthetic. It needs a 24 hour period in between layers, but I would usually just do a second coat after the next wash.
If youre looking to try something different, give FK1 1000p a try. Synthetic durability and the deep wet look of a carnuba.

I have been reading through tons of threads on what types of products to use and it can just be over whelming. I am not a novice at detailing, everything is done by hand no PC here, yet. I have an 08 Pyrite Tundra that is not a daily driver and is kept in a garage 90% of the time so the paint looks pretty damn good when I just wash it, I have put some of the store bought waxes on it in the past with I thought looked pretty good, but I do not really know if I am giving it the protection it deserves.
What I am looking to do is give a really good detail that does not cost me a ton of money that I can do by hand and get a great look that will last several months.
I was thinking about:
Washing with Car soap
Claying (not sure which brand or type)
Klasse AIO
Duragloss 105
Will this be a good start or am I missing a step. What type of applicator pads and MF towels (how many GSM). I am not sure what type of clay I need so help here. I would like products that I can grow with in the future as well if and when I get a PC.
I know there have been a ton of posts on this and everyone has an opinion, I am looking for guidance and won't get my feelings hurt if you tell me I am off base.
Thanks
Todd
Todd with your paint being in the shape you say it is. I think your steps are spot on! I did the same on mine clayed then klasse aio but followed it with pinnicle liquid souvern carnabu. im bout to go clean mine up again today and im gonna follow aio with the klasse sealer I just got as recommended by jumbojet
Nothing wrong with the products you have listed, but what one person likes, somebody else likes something different a little more.
As far as claying, it sounds like your truck is probably in better than average shape so I would go with a fine clay, something like the pinnacle ultra poly clay, you can get it from autogeek. As far as lube, use what you like: a fresh bucket of wash soap works fine and is cheap, quick detailer is ok, or if you want to drop the cash on a dedicated clay lube, go for it.
Applicators and mf are the same as detailing products themselves...100's of opinions. I use the 4" durafoam applicators from chemical guys. For my mf I always resort to cobra when it comes to anything mf. Brandon swears by a target brand that is dirt cheap...cant remember the name though.
Also, duragloss 901/2/3 is one of the best shampoos IMO and is cheap. Hope this helps, any other ?'s put em up.
Like the others have said, you have a great list to get you started. You can use any clay that they have at AutoZone or other auto parts stores. All over the counter clays are "fine" grade clays unless other wise specified on the box. They are all made by only two companies but just died different colors for each manufacture, so choose which ever you like. I normally pick up Clay Magic just because its always available. "Medium" grade clays are mostly used by body shops and are pretty harsh. They will leave some scuffing, but that will buff right out with the polish. Dont waste your money buying detail spray or "clay lube", just use your car wash soap and water solution for the lube. Use plenty of lube, if it feels like the clay is dragging, use more soap.
Cobra makes great MF towels. When you start shopping for MF towels, look for the ones that are made in Korea, not China. The Korean towels are much higher quality, wont shed and last much longer.
Klasse AIO topped with Duragloss is a great combo, the truck should come out great. Please put up some pics. And do yourself a huge favor and invest in a PC and some pads. You'll never look back.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I did end up buying a PC with pads and the wax should be here by this Tuesday and weather looks good for Wed and Thurs. so hopefully by the end of next week I will have it done. Thinking I will start of with my older car for practice with the PC in case I mess something up, wouldn't want to screw up the truck.
Jumbo Jet I have some paint on the front side of the bumper that looks llike it came from another car, it isn't a lot but how woulld I go about removing it, I have tried using my fingernail to see if I could scratch it off with no avail. I have a limited so it has the body colored bumper not the chrome. Thanks.
First off, dont worry about having to practice on another car. The only way you could damage your truck with the PC is if you throw it at it. Jump right in and have fun with it. Its great therapy.
Try using the PC and some light polish to remove the other color on your bumper. It should take it right off.
