    Default First Autogeek.net purchase

Just wanted to check with you guys to see if I may be missing some essentials with my list for my first purchase. I tried to follow most of Brandon's recommendations in his detailing sticky.

My truck has some swirl marks that I would like to get rid of without breaking the bank. I realize this is going to take some money to be able to get started but I look at this like an investment on maintaining my Tundra and my wife's Jeep Patriot.

I tried to keep it to what I thought I should get from autogeek that I will not be able to pick up at the local auto store. I plan on getting another wash bucket for the two bucket wash concept but I figure any bucket will do as long as it's clean. I will get some MFs at the local Target. Quick detailer will also be purchased at a later. Let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks for your time guys!

I'd skip getting the green and grey pads, and go for one orange, and 3 white. Green and Grey to me dont have much purpose. White can polish and remove defects, but is light enough for wax application. Also, if they sell the grit guard seperatly from the bucket, you may save money just buying 2 grit guards, and picking up 2 5-gal buckets from home depot or something like that. Final thing, you may want to pick up some more car wash solution. You will go through that tiny bottle pretty quick.

Aside from that the order looks good!

I was going to say the same thing about the buckets. Grab a couple from Home Depot for $3, and get the grit guards from AG.

Just received an email from Autogeek and for 24hrs use coupon code AUG10 and receive 10% off everything (no restrictions). Free shipping over $125 also, just thought I would pass that along if you're ordering soon.

Thanks for the input guys! I made the changes and ordered the supplies. Unfortunately, I made it before I seen the coupon code. I called and they said they could give me store credit for it. Autogeek.net has great customer service. Thanks for the advice and thanks for the info on the coupon code, PepsiKing!

Definitely wont be disappointed, you got some good stuff. I was going to say the clay bar lube was not exactly necessary but with 2 bars, lube, and a mf for $20 it was hard to go wrong I guess.

Thanks, I'm ready to get this Tundra looking better than when it was purchased.

Even though it's too late, a third on the buckets from Home Depot. Good job on getting the larger size of the #105 and #205, the smaller bottles go quick.

All liquids you have are what I use, but additionally I use Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #7 and Duragloss Bonding Agent, both items which are nice to have but aren't necessary. Another nice future addition would be Duragloss Aquawax # 951.
