I generally use the bug/tar remover for that stuff, and it works just fine. Just remember to re-wax that area after you've gotten all the goop off, because it'll strip the wax off as well.
I worked for the LA Dept. of Transportation in construction. We got lots of tar on our vehicles and we used a knock-off WD40 spray and some old rags to clean our vehicles. Spray it on, wait a few minutes and wipe, thicker spots require a repeat.
I have a black Tundra and unfortunately I just noticed that I have some overspray on my truck. There's alot of construction going on in the area so I assume that's how it happened.
It looks like a bunch of little white dots (each about the size of the tip of a pencil).
You may be able to use enamel reducer if its only been on a short time. Test a small spot first so you don't damage paint.
Worst case would need a wet sand and buff. About $200.
Try 3M Hand Glaze. It works awesome for swirl marks and oxidation and I believe it also is suppose to be great for overspray. You can pick some up at a local automotive paint supply store.
Anyone have little yellow spots on their paint that I guess falls out of the sky? What is this stuff?
Down here in San Diego, I wash my truck one day, and the next it's full of these things that look like bird droppings. If the little spots are left alone, they will eat right through the wax and clear coat just like bird droppings, but these are only about pencil-eraser sized.
I've lived all over the country and never seen these spots until I moved here and it's been driving me crazy for the last five years!

We get them here (Houston) in the spring and fall. My boss calls them aphids but I don't think they're what you see on your roses. Regardless, they're something like that. Best thing to do is wash them off as often as possible. A real pain, but it'll pass as the seasons turn.
Knowing the area you live in .... San Diego Airport, Mirmar MCAS, North Island = all kinds of fly-overs ... probably JP5; jet fuel. I get it in sometimes in PB; a lotmore when I worked at Ballast Point and North Island.
I get them alot as well. That's the 3rd time I've heard that it's jet fuel. They show up really nice on my black paint, usually within minutes of washing it.
