Autopia is most certainly not gone. Here's a thread on this product:
The link TigerTundra posted was dead... Yours works, but I get the following message:

I used "tbecker" as the referral... wasn't sure if you used the same name there as here.
Cool, they seem to have that thing locked down pretty tight now. Can't do much of anything if you're not a member. Anyway, to get back on topic, I use Klasse Polish on my truck and it's the best stuff I've ever used. Highly recommended.

Weren't there a couple of links posted a while back pointing to a couple of real flame-fests over there? When I got to the site, I noticed it was in my browser history but I couldn't remember from when... then after looking at the home page it kinda came back.
Could be the reason for the lockdown... like a recent thread here regarding performance that mysteriously dissapeared.
Anyways, after looking around it appears that maybe Zaino wouldn't be the best for my situation... hot weather, very dusty environment (Chino/Pomona/San Bernardino/Palm Springs/Temecula... and I'm on construction sites!). The reports putting Blackfire in as alternatively #2 or #3 under Zaino really made it look attractive, and it doesn't seem to attract dust.
Been trying to find a local source but so far no go. Guess I'll have to order it online... I just hate doing that for things under $50 where shipping ends up bumping the price by 50%.

Was wondering if anybody bought this extra service. I just bought my Sequoia and had an opportunity to get this paint protection service...discounted at $895. I passed, but am wondering if it would have been worth it.
TRDCruz,
actually, that's kinda of classless... for that much money , you could get a mighty nice detail job done once a year for the next six years...
apparently the service is supposed to protect your paint from fading. It has a life-time warranty, I think. And, you don't ever have to wax your car...I thought that was a nice feature considering how large a job it would be, also since I don't have a garage to park it in.
Thanks for your input...I don't feel so bad now. Atleast it will be a great feeling every time a detail it. :-)
Does anyone know anything about Teflon coatings? Reason I ask is, the other day when I took my Tundra to a satelite Toyota service department in Oceanside for an oil change. I was chatting with the guy who was washing my truck, and I mentioned that my wife had wanted the teflon coating the dealership offered to us for only 2 or 3 dollars more a month. The service guy was drying my truck and he said that with teflon he can see it reflect hazy, and he didnt see anything on my paint. He told me I should have it checked out. How do you have someone test for a teflon coating? And where? I will be EXTREAMLY irritated if they are charging me for something they didnt put on. Especially considering I had to take it back to the dealership and leave it for the day, so they could take it somewhere to get the Teflon applied and Scotch Guard the interior.
edit~ color is white, 7 months old, only been hand washed with Zymol liquid car wash.

They probably *did* put it on. But to be honest I don't know that it is worth what it cost you. You can't tell when teflon is on the vehicle other than the fact that it's pretty slick. But other products can give the same result. It's probably a premium product that they put on but it's got an even more premium price.
I use a dealer product like that and it works well, but it's VERY expensive and is only sold because it hides behind the "mystery sauce" type of hype. (But it does work well.....)
If you use some of the products on this site (buy it from them or not) you'll be very happy with the result.
At the very least, go there for the education in car detailing an treatment.
You can get aftermarket products that does what your dealers does for a lot less. Much of this is available locally if you look around and really know what's in your area.
(well, unless you're in the middle of no where.....)
Thank you for your response, not quite what I was looking for though.

Could a detailer tell if there is a teflon coating on the paint, or would I have better luck trying to find one of the companies who offer teflon products?

I think you're going to have a hard time "proving" whether there was any teflon on there one way or another.
Most likely, to make sure, the dealer should be able to provide you with a bottle of the treatment that they used to you can reapply it every 6 months or 7,500 months or so.
If it's a new vehicle and the paint is beading when water is on it, it has something on there for sure.
I just came across this site about the paint protection so superior that would last 5 years with no rewaxing needed, even the Airforce and Navy are using it for their radar and aircraft(5starshine.com)
Does anybody have any experiences with the product good and bad? Its quite costly considering the quantity comparing to others but If it works like said, might worth a shot. I just want some inputs if any before trying it out.
Get a copy of the "Guru Wax Report" http://www.gurureports.org/ It'll pay for itself in saved time and money. These guys went the extra mile putting together this report on 46 different car waxes & synthetics.
