That's kind of comparing apples to oranges.
NXT or any synthetic wax will probably be shinier. That's also one of its downfalls. It can have a sterile appearance on darker colors because the light is being reflected back before it has a chance to hit the pigment underneath the clear coat.
The problem with synthetics is that it goes on so thin (but is still protecting) that unless you *really* layer it you just won't get that depth that you get with carnauba. And that comes from the thickness of the layer(s).
It will be interesting to see if Meguiar's comes out with another synthetic product line like Mother's did. One that just shines like crazy for light colors where depth of material isn't too big a deal and one for dark and deeper colored metalics where the thickness of the material provided a dramatic richness to the pigments below. You just can't make the second as shiny or else you're refracting the light out that would normally hit the colored paint below.
I tried the FX instant wax detailing spray over Klasse on metallic graphite paint and I have to say that was a pretty awesome combination. Klasse protection with a bit of a kick in the shine area.
Though I don't know how durable the instant wax spray is. I must know that "man, does that ever shine....". It would be a great final topping on just about anything, I think.
When I used the FX spray over FX wax it very noticeably shinier than the same over Klasse All-in-one. So much so I'd hesitate to use it on a dark color unless you liked that look.
It looks pretty hot under lights at night though.
The nice thing about synthetics is that it's "made" so you can make the characteristics be whatever you want.
