Default Replaced leaking Exide battery

Well its been 5 years and two months with the OEM battery made by Exide, its been leaking slightly at the top seam for the last three years, now it got noticeably weak, so today after much reading i finally purchased a replacement.

Couldn't find an optima 34R at a local store, besides I really dint want to spend the money on it.
I finally decided on the Everstart battery from China Mart, its a Johnson controls Battery, looks OK, its Yellow, and has lots of power.

Default Re: Replaced leaking Exide battery

My original Toyota (Exide) battery was leaking white chemicals the first year I bought it. After complaining to the dealer, they said all they would do was load test it and then replace it if it failed. They would not replace it just because of the leakage.

I am not taking a chance on this junk battery at -40 degrees. Optima Red Top for me ASAP.

Should have gone to another dealer, they have always replaced leaking batteries under the 3/36 warranty.
