07CM: Cigarette lighter wire access

Hi,
I just completed my amp install. I still need to connect to the cigarette lighter power wire to use as an amp turn-on signal. Where is the best/easiest location to access this wire to splice to? I attempted to get behind the dash but couldn't figure out how to get any of the covers off. Some advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Cam.

Just grab the cigarette lighter/power plug/ panel and pull straight out. It's just held in by pressure clips. Make sure you tie it to the cigarette lighter only, the power plug still has power even after you shut off the engine and pull the key out.

Thanks I will tr that tonight. I put my meter on the cig lighter and it switches on and off perfectly for an amp turn on. Thanks.

Does the 2008 Tundra SR5 4X4 center console cigarette lighter section come out the same way. I pulled pretty hard on mine and could not get it out. A little guidance would help. Thanks.
