Hey might be a stupid ? but on occassion I like to work in my garage and listen to the truck radio. Now with 2 amps running I know this will run down the battery pretty quick. Was wondering if i could hook up a smart battery charger while playing the tunes to prevent battery run down?
Any thoughts how this could be a bad idea?

Yes, a charger will help. Just make sure you don't drain your battery down so far that it's not supplying too little voltage to your amps. That's a pretty quick way to fry an amp.

Sometimes the speakers can suffer also, if the amp starts to clip.
I need to read better, yes 2 amps not 2 amps. The battery charger alone will introduce a hum, but when connected to the battery the battery acts like a noise filter on the output.
