Default Control Module Replacement

I'm getting about 17 mpg with my 2008 4.7L. I had a recommendation to replace the control module after researching which was best. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge on this?

If anyone wants to try this, I SWEAR it works... get to where you can press the lock or unlock and it does not work. Then point the remote into the bottom of your chin, open you mouth toward the vehicle. You can get added range this way. Don't ask me why, or how, but I am not joking it really does give you a little more range. If you think this is a joke try it before you talk mess!

LOL I think you answered in the wrong thread Josh but yes this does work because your body acts like an antenna.

For an answer to the OP question. What Control module are you referring to?

The ignition control module or chip is what I think it's called.

Man I hate my computer, it refreshed while I was typing i guess and put it in the last thread I was looking at. Is there a way to get this moved?

To be Honest 17mpg for the 4.7 in the 08 tundra is pretty good. I know there currently is no programmer or chip for the 5.7 but I'm not sure if there is one for the 4.7 07/08 yet either. Check at Superchips.com or other sites like that.
