Default 2007 air intake sensor?

hello everyone,
my check engine light came on and it turns out to be the "air intake sensor." the dealership wants $389 to replace it. couldn't i just buy one and do it myself or will the check engine light have to be reset?(requiring some piece of equipment i don't have)

I'm having the same problem with my 07 crewmax. At first the dealer said that the sensor was fine and that they do that when it gets cold sometimes (BS!!) and reset the check engine light. I drove 15 miles and it went on again. I took it to a different dealer. Then they said it was a sensor in the exhaust system and ordered the part. Got it replaced yesterday. Drove home and then on the way to work this morning it went on again. There is definitely a problem, and the dealers don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.
