This is a discussion thread titled "replacement headlite bulbs for 06 Dblcab", within the Electrical & Computer Systems forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
What are recommended replacements for the original headlight bulbs of the 06 Doublecab. I am planning on getting brighter lights and would like some safe reasonable bulb options. Thanks
The ge nighthawks are pretty good from what I have read. Do a search back a bit and the discussion on the siverstars comes up less than stellar. The sylvania website lists the bulbs as having a 150 hr life and folks have been saying that they lasted about 8 months which seems to go along with that. The GE bulbs are rated for 150/800 which is I think the High beam/low beam rating in hours (not sure but seems to make sense).
i second this motion, soon i will get the fogs too, i just got the headlights for now. They are pricey though, run about 50 bucks
They make a huge difference though. I upgraded all my interior lamps as well with super bright white PIAA's. You don't realize how yellow the stock bulbs are until you upgrade to some of these lamps.

I had the Sylvania Silverstars which lasted almost 3 years until one of them burnt out recently. I just ordered a set PIAA GT-X, $44 shipped from amazon.
