I just PM'd someone who was supposed to try the rewiring. I don't own a 2nd-gen Tundra but I have some electrical knowledge from working for Lexus

I don't see any harm done to the body ECU since it's being bypassed,and those ECU connections are definitely grounds since the other end of the relay coil circuit connects to a fuse.
With #1 you can still turn the fogs on/off with the stock switch
