Too Small of a Battery??
I had problems with my battery today. First, I left my lights on when I parked this morning for ~30 minutes, and needed a jump. Then I did the same thing after work for ~10 minutes! (doh) But a jump could not start my Tundra. I also noticed much corrosion on my nice aftermarket terminals, which wasn't there 3 months ago.
So I went to NAPA and bought a battery. However, the replacement is about two inches shorter in length and 1/2 inch shorter in width. I plan on asking NAPA for a correctly sized battery for my 2006 Tundra, but I anticipate that they will balk because I have already used it.
I snugged down the bracket, but my concern is that it still might move around because of the forces while driving. Is this a legit concern? Or will a snug bracket keep it in place?
Also, the guy a NAPA said that I should never jump-start my truck because of the sensitive electronics. Is this true?
